Visio Nova Mundi is a Community Interest Company (CIC). We operate for public benefit and reinvest surplus into research, innovation, and community-focused initiatives aligned with our mission.
Operating classifications
Classification explains a relationship, not automatic ownership. Before any contract or delivery, responsible parties, funding, IP, insurance, safeguarding and data roles must be agreed for that activity.
| Type / examples | Operator | Funding responsibility | IP / commercial responsibility | Governance basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CIC programme · Unity House funded sessions | Visio Nova Mundi CIC | Awarded six-session grant scope; additional work needs separate resources. | Confirm project-specific ownership and third-party rights; no blanket IP claim. | Agreed grant and host-venue scope, CIC public-benefit duties and safeguards. |
| CIC research concept · Circular Justice | CIC research positioning; future delivery operator to be confirmed. | No funding approval for Circular Justice. | Confirm per research project and agreement. | Discovery only; permissions, ethics, data and participant safeguards before delivery. |
| VNM-developed proposal · Satul Conectat | Future delivery operator and local roles to be agreed. | No confirmed pilot or funding. | To be agreed before a pilot or collaboration. | Local need, participation, approvals, safeguarding and operating agreements. |
| Independent founder venture · Clandestinus / TradeVault | Separate from the CIC; named trading entities require confirmation. | Separate finances; CIC grants or sponsorship do not automatically fund them. | Separate ownership, IP and commercial responsibility. | Own contracts and legal responsibilities; ecosystem inclusion creates no agency or dependency. |
| Future concept · AdminTrace | To be confirmed. | To be confirmed; no secured funding claim. | Legal vehicle and ownership to be confirmed. | Not part of current delivery; classification review before launch. |
| Future partnership project | Specified in a future formal agreement; no operator presumed. | Defined in the agreement; no automatic CIC commitment. | Defined by rights holders and agreements. | Approved scope, roles, risk, data and reporting arrangements before activity. |
Registration as a CIC does not prove programme outcomes. Evidence of legal identity, funding, delivery and results answers different questions.
Community benefit
Our activities are designed to deliver measurable improvements in service delivery, inclusion, and wellbeing outcomes. We work with partners to pilot solutions, evaluate results, and scale responsibly based on evidence.
Asset lock
As a CIC, we operate under an asset lock to ensure that assets and profits are used for community benefit. Surplus is reinvested into programmes and activities aligned with our public benefit objectives.
Transparency
We aim to operate with clear reporting, accountable governance, and responsible partnerships. Where appropriate, we publish summaries of outcomes, impact, and evaluation findings.
Our wider ecosystem
The Tree of Life ecosystem may feature CIC-led programmes, research initiatives and independent founder-led ventures aligned by shared purpose. A project's inclusion does not make it a CIC asset, activity or responsibility.
Visio Nova Mundi CIC operates with clear separation of governance, finances and decision-making. Independent ventures retain their own legal, financial and operational identity.
TradeVault Painter Pro and Project Clandestinus are separate commercial ventures. Their ownership, intellectual property and funding are not part of Visio Nova Mundi CIC, and CIC grants or sponsorship do not automatically finance them.

Evidence standard
Evidence & Evaluation Principles
We aim to evaluate pilots and concepts proportionately and transparently, distinguishing observed findings from assumptions and future hypotheses.
- Baseline. Where appropriate, establish a baseline before an intervention so later observations can be interpreted in context.
- Transparent methods. Explain how information was gathered, what was measured and what evidence was unavailable.
- Evidence gaps. Report limitations, uncertainties and missing evidence clearly; do not fill gaps with assumptions.
- Data minimisation. Collect only information necessary for the evaluation, with appropriate privacy and safeguarding considerations.
- Proportionate claims. Claim statistical significance, causation, representativeness or transferability only where the study design and evidence support it.
- Learning before scaling. Treat early pilots as opportunities to learn and refine, not automatic proof that an intervention should be scaled.
